Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Anything typed into a search box on this site is sent directly to the outside provider that runs that tool. The provider processes the request and returns the results. Search terms are not captured or kept by this site.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to this site is retained so a reply is possible. Those messages stay with the site's own team and are not passed to anyone outside it unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Server logs record a small set of technical details whenever a page loads:
- The IP address your device used
- Your browser name and version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages viewed and the time spent on each
- The referring site, when one sent you here
- A timestamp for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Small files called cookies are stored on your device so the site can see which pages are used most and where visitors leave. Analytics services gather that traffic data in aggregate. Cookies can be blocked in your browser settings at any time, and some parts of the site may behave differently when they are.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping pages online, available, and reasonably fast
- Passing a search request to the partner that handles it
- Learning which pages help readers and which fall short
- Diagnosing and repairing technical faults
- Showing advertising that may match visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, build, hold, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant information. Its content explains where Grand Traverse County warrant records are kept and how a reader checks them with the 86th District Court, the 13th Circuit Court and county clerk, the sheriff's office, and Michigan's open-records process. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing collected from visitors is turned into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site belong to outside companies. Whatever is entered into one of those tools is handled under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide their own retention and sharing rules, and this site does not direct them. Read the partner's policy before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Pages here link out to court and sheriff sites, state records pages, legal aid resources, and outside search tools. Following one of those links leaves this site, and the destination's privacy policy then applies. Review it before sharing personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow activity across sites in order to target ads. That tracking happens on their systems rather than on this one.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold here. A limited amount of information may reach:
- Search partners that process a query you start
- Analytics providers used to measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on these pages
- Law enforcement or a government body when a valid legal order compels it
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security measures are used to protect the limited data this site collects. No internet service can be guaranteed immune to intrusion. Reasonable steps are taken to safeguard information, and no promise is made that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted data here, contact the site and it will be removed promptly.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, Michigan law and the state's open-records rules may give you additional rights over information about you, including records held by public bodies under the Freedom of Information Act. As a visitor to this site, you can at minimum:
- Request a copy of what this site holds about you
- Ask for incorrect information to be corrected
- Ask for your data to be erased
- Object to certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised in the future. Any revision is posted on this page together with a new effective date, so the current version is always the one shown here.
Effective date: September 15, 2026
